Sharine's academic journey also brought her to the University of Southern California (USC), where she obtained a Master of Science in Gerontology. Furthermore, she pursued dual undergraduate degrees at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Sharine's commitment to promoting holistic well-being extends beyond her academic achievements. She has earned certifications in Advanced Nutrition, Nutritional Therapy, and Culturally Competent Nursing Care. These certifications reflect her dedication to incorporating the transformative power of nutrition into her practice, understanding that food plays a pivotal role in physical health and mental well-being.
Driven by her passion for improving the health and lives of others, Sharine founded EAT Karma, a groundbreaking initiative that combines her extensive knowledge, compassion, and innovative thinking. Through EAT Karma, Sharine strives to empower individuals to live optimally by embracing the transformative potential of food. Her mission is to educate, inspire, and support individuals in making informed choices that nourish their bodies, minds, and souls. Isabella A. Lewis is dedicated to addressing food insecurity through innovative, community-centered approaches. Growing up with food allergies, Isabella understands firsthand the difficulties of finding healthy and affordable food options. This personal experience has fueled her passion for ensuring that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, has access to nutritious meals. Her unique perspective and personal experience with food allergies contribute significantly to the organization’s mission of providing culturally and medically tailored meals to underserved individuals, particularly those with chronic illnesses or disabilities.
